Despite last Monday night's final vote by Greater Napanee council to adopt the current tax policy and lock it in for the next two years, some council members on both sides of the debate have continued to trade barbs this week.While Ward 1 (Adolphustown) councillor Andrew Gonsalves issued a challenge to prove his numbers wrong, Mayor David Remington defended the policy as fair to rural residents.

Just when the high school track world had gotten used to losing to Darcelle McCutcheon, now there is another one to contend with. Younger sister Lisa proved last week she has learned a thing or two from Darcelle abaout winning when it counts.Lisa came home with a gold in the 80M hurdles from the ONtario Feederation of School Athletic Association track and field championships.
